Atlantis Comes Alive
Concept art is a form of illustration used to visual convey the vision and imagination of a creator for their project, it comes in many different forms: props, characters, and environment being the main.
Concept art is created and used during the earliest stages of a creation, all other 3-D models and landscaping that will be used for the finished product will be based on concept art. Essentially it is a summary or a rough draft that allows the hundreds of other artists working to have a general outline or goal to work towards, it is essential in the media industry as lots of money can be lost if a project goes awry. This is most likely to happen if people are not on the same page.
This summative presents an incredible opportunity for me to practice a specific artistic skill that is extremely meaningful and important to me as I am determined to have this as my career, it is the main passion in my life. The time frame in which I intend to create these pieces also loosely match the time in which a professional concept artist is expected to have an illustration finished.
Essentially I can practice both the work ethic and time management skills required of a concept artist and also improve my overall drawing skills which will greatly help me next year in art school applications. I will be putting great effort every month into each of my art pieces so they turn out the best I could possible make them and would be proud enough to show to the world.
