Minoan Palace Interior (Progress 2)

I used the same technique for the rest of the pillars as I did for the first three. I took a salmon marble texture and used it as a clipping mask then adding shading over it. The pillars in the background are darker than the ones in the foreground because of the sunset coming through the roof (the sun would not hit them).

Painting the sky was the most fun I've had painting in a while, it was nice to take a break from all the new learning and experimenting and paint something I am good at and more familiar with. I used google images sunset photos as reference so I could use the teardrop tool in Photoshop to select the proper colors.
